Full Show: This One's For All the Eldest Daughters!

4/30/2026
Friday's show wrapped the week in style. Gen Z has declared Speedos unacceptable and Tim, a man who does laps in them, pushed back hard. Australia voted AFL the most overrated sport and Tim watched Hawthorn draw with Collingwood in the most nail-biting finish of the season the night before, so the timing was rough. New Music Friday delivered as always. Ricki spoke on behalf of all eldest daughters everywhere and a nine year old called in to represent the eldest daughter burnout club, which was both adorable and deeply relatable. Tim had a Tim Factwell for us that nobody asked for and everyone needed. And we wrapped the week with Caller of the Week and the Week in Review. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Australia Thinks AFL is Overrated!?

4/30/2026
Aperol Spritz copped it earlier this week and the audience agreed overwhelmingly. Now we go wider: Australia has voted AFL the most overrated sport, which Tim, a Hawthorn supporter who watched them draw with Collingwood in the most nail-biting finish last night, is taking as a personal attack. Most overrated TV shows: Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, unpopular opinion delivered with full confidence. Most overrated Sydney thing: the beaches, according to a Gold Coast native who we will not be taking seriously. And a listener nominated croissants as the Aperol Spritz of food, which is brave and wrong but we respect the commitment. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Gen Z Wants to Cancel Speedos and We're Not Having It

4/30/2026
Gen Z has declared Speedos unacceptable according to a great Aussie debate survey and Tim, a man who does laps in Speedos, is taking it personally. The verdict: Speedos are absolutely fine for lap swimming, board shorts at the beach with the kids, and if you have the confidence to rock them with a big gut at the pool then honestly we respect it. Full Show: Is Hughesy Jealous of Blackers?

4/29/2026
Thursday's show covered the viral video of a dad walking down the aisle alone at his daughter's wedding without her, which opened the phones for unexpected wedding moments. Callan Boys stopped by with his top Sydney local eats picks, and we got into the new trend of friend funds among mates. And Hughesy came in to chat about his Cooked show at Sydney Comedy Fest before playing Quick Draw, which went exactly as you would expect from Hughesy. He Forgot the Ashes": The Most Chaotic Dad Story We've Ever Heard

4/29/2026
A viral video of a dad walking down the aisle alone at his daughter's wedding without her opened the floodgates. Ricki's own dad sat down in the front row at her Paris wedding and forgot he was supposed to walk her down the aisle. Listeners called in and it only got worse: a dad drove to his daughter's graduation without her, a grandad came home from the park with one of two grandkids and didn't notice, a dad of 22 years still can't spell his daughter's name, and one dad arrived at his wife's funeral without the ashes. Never put a dad in charge of anything. This is the conclusion. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The One Dinner Move That Reveals Everything About Someone's Character

4/29/2026
Friend funds are a thing now, where friendship groups pool money to cover socialising costs. But does that not just sound like splitting the bill with extra steps? We get into the real drama: people who itemise exactly what they had, latecomers who dodge the entree split, and the classic T-Rex hands move where someone's arms mysteriously get too short to reach the bill whenever it arrives. Also a genuine disagreement: if you invite people to your birthday dinner, should you pay or should they? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Full Show: Imagine If We Dated...

4/28/2026
Meeting people in real life is apparently harder than ever and a Body and Soul guide to dating in 2025 made everyone deeply uncomfortable. Bruce Isaacs delivered his verdict on the Michael Jackson biopic and called it wonderful, critics be damned. Young couples are ditching engagement rings for tattoos instead and we had thoughts. Wil Anderson came in ahead of Gruen returning to ABC tonight and was exactly as sharp as you would expect. Madonna is playing gay clubs ahead of her new album which is the most Madonna thing possible. And Patrick Brammall stopped by fresh from the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere to tell us he turned down the audition, did nothing, and got offered the role anyway. The fake Rolex story alone was worth the visit. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Why Patrick Brammall Said No to 'Devil Wears Prada 2' At First

4/28/2026
Patrick Brammall stops by fresh from the premiere and immediately tells us he turned down the audition for Devil Wears Prada 2 because he was busy and didn't think he had a chance. A week later they offered him the role without him lifting a finger. Pure Bradbury. He also spent the entire shoot wearing a Rolex that turned out to be fake, the props department had been putting it in a safe every day without knowing, and he nearly bought it for $500. He calls Anne Hathaway Annie, had to remind Stanley Tucci who he was on day one, and Colin from Accounts season three is wrapped and coming later this year. Bruce Isaacs Called the Michael Jackson Movie Wonderful and We Believe Him

4/28/2026
Film critic Bruce Isaacs stops by and delivers a verdict on the Michael Jackson biopic that cuts right through all the noise: he thinks it is one of the most wonderful films he has seen in years. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave it 32%. Audiences who are fans gave it 97%. Bruce says both are right depending on your relationship to the legacy. If you go in wanting the film to litigate Michael's guilt or innocence you will struggle, but if you go in for the music and the story you will be emotional and overwhelmed. Dating in 2025 Sounds Absolutely Horrifying

4/28/2026
A Body and Soul guide to meeting people in real life has us deeply uncomfortable. The tips include spending time alone at bars and cafes, maintaining steady eye contact with strangers you find attractive, and starting conversations in the bathroom line. Ricki would call the police if someone stared at her like that. Tim talks to people in lifts and urinals and thinks the bathroom line chat is actually fine. We are two very different people. Both deeply grateful we do not have to date. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Full Show: K-U-R-N-E-L?

4/27/2026
Tuesday's show had everything. A Sydney beach had to close because of a whale carcass washing up, which is not ideal. Tim drove to Hoyts purely to buy popcorn and a Coke and did not see a film, and we respect the commitment. We spun the wheel and played Spelling Bee, and one listener's attempt at spelling colonel will live in our memories forever. We talked about the booing at ANZAC Day ceremonies over the weekend which was genuinely upsetting. Stanley Tucci said active wear should only be worn while working out and Sydney took it as a personal attack. Kids in Sydney have been caught bus surfing which opened up the phones for everyone's own childhood crimes. Ricki saw the Michael Jackson movie and had thoughts in today's Glossys. We broke down everyone who acted strange during the White House Correspondents dinner shooting. And Pete Helliar came in to play Sing, which was exactly as chaotic as you would expect. Aperol Spritz Is Disgusting

4/27/2026
Stanley Tucci is out promoting Devil Wears Prada 2 and had the audacity to tell GQ that active wear should only be worn while working out. Sydney, a city that has adopted the active wear and track pant as its official uniform, is not having it. Ricki points out that if it doesn't have an elastic waistband she is simply not interested. We open the phones for controversial opinions and they deliver: no ankle socks on men ever, Aperol Spritz is disgusting and belongs nowhere, stop making food at work, lanyards stay on office grounds only, and weddings are overrated. A big Tuesday. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Booing a Veteran at a Dawn Service Is Indefensible

4/27/2026
During ANZAC Day Welcome to Country ceremonies across Sydney, Canberra, Perth and Melbourne, a small group of people booed Indigenous Elders as they spoke. At Martin Place it was especially confronting: Uncle Ray, the Elder who delivered the Welcome to Country, is himself a veteran whose grandfather served in the Light Horse Brigade and whose brothers served in Vietnam. A man who served this country, booed at a dawn service. There were 11,000 people at Martin Place this year, more than double the year before, so the respect was overwhelming. But the boos cut through the silence in the worst possible way. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Full Show: Jim Jefferies Sang Opera?!

4/23/2026
We spun the wheel and played Word Alarm. The great soap bar debate: are they back or are they done forever? New Music Friday delivered as always. The President of the Australian Medical Association came in to explain peptides and why the ones being sold online with "not for human use" on the label are a problem, including that Tim's old GP turned out to be our expert which raised eyebrows. Insurance scammers called in and things got out of hand fast: fake bear attacks on luxury cars in California, a decade of stolen coffee stamps, and an unqualified vet nurse who has been running surgeries for seven years and nobody has noticed. And Jim Jefferies came in, was absolutely unhinged as expected, and somehow it came out that he has done opera. We need answers. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

An Unqualified Vet Nurse Told Us They've Been Doing Surgeries for 7 Years!

4/23/2026
Three people in California got caught staging fake bear attacks on their own luxury cars to claim $142,000 in insurance money. They kept the bear suits. In the house. Detectives found them immediately. We open the phones for Sydney's own scammers and it escalated quickly: one listener negotiated a better insurance deal and kept the $350 signup bonus anyway, another has been working as an unqualified vet nurse for seven years doing surgeries with drugs of addiction and nobody knows, and a third has been stealing the coffee loyalty stamp from local cafes for a decade and stamping up the whole family. We have so many questions about the vet nurse. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Everyone's Injecting Peptides and a Doctor Had to Explain Why That's Risky

4/23/2026
Peptides are everywhere right now: weight loss, skin care, muscle recovery, tanning. We got the President of the Australian Medical Association Dr Danielle McMullen on the phone to explain what they actually are and why the ones being sold online are a problem. Short version: the approved ones prescribed by doctors are fine, but the unregulated ones sold online may have never been tested on humans, can cause cancer, blindness or kidney damage, and often say not for human use right next to the injection instructions. Also it turned out she used to be Tim's GP which raised more questions than it answered. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Is Sabrina Carpenter Coming to Sydney This November?

4/23/2026
Tim has heard through very reliable channels that Sabrina Carpenter has four nights booked at Qudos Bank Arena in November. No official announcement yet but the dates are apparently sitting there waiting. For anyone who had their Sabrina set cut short when she was supporting Taylor Swift in bad weather, this is your redemption arc. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Full Show: Poh Oh!

4/22/2026
We spun the wheel and played the Whisper Challenge. NSW Premier Chris Minns dialled in and Ricki got into the contraceptive pill news. Matt Moran stopped by to tell us what to eat this week. Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted ordering Messina like a normal person and we respect it. Tim dropped the exclusive that Sabrina Carpenter has four nights booked at Qudos Bank Arena in November. A listener called in ahead of her reconstruction surgery tomorrow to reveal she asked her surgeon for Ricki's boobs, which Ricki is deeply honoured by. And Poh from MasterChef came in to play Quick Draw, talk the Meghan Markle MasterChef episode, and Tim finally told her the joke he has been holding onto for years: if Poh ever got together with Sandra Oh, her name would be Poh Oh. A Woman Asked Her Surgeon for Ricki's Boobs and It's Happening Tomorrow

4/22/2026
Two years after a double mastectomy, listener Megzi called Ricki at a Ronald McDonald House charity gala, had a couple of champagnes, and decided she wanted Ricki's boobs for her reconstruction surgery. She took that conversation to her actual surgeon, who laughed, and tomorrow she is going in for a seven hour surgery. Ricki is honoured, Megzi is ready to close the final chapter of what she calls the shit show, and we are all cheering her on. Also: apparently drag queens have been going to their injectors asking for Ricki's cheeks for years. She is truly giving. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Full Show: How Are Babies Born, Ricki?!

4/21/2026
Science revealed the most dangerous songs to drive to and Eminem's Lose Yourself took the top spot, which tracks. We spun the wheel and played Can I Have The First Line. Bruce Isaacs stopped by with his Watcha Watching recommendations. A bride banning guests from wearing blue including a sapphire ring sent Ricki down memory lane about her own Paris chateau wedding where every guest was told to wear beige, Rich's dad wore navy anyway, and nobody was allowed to post they were even in Europe. Today's Glossys tackled whether Zoe Kravitz is engaged. Cash is apparently making a comeback and we discussed why. And Daniel MacPherson came in to chat about his new movie Beast, which looks absolutely unhinged in the best way. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
