Last year, officials had said that they were looking forward to a bright future in 2026, but that is not to be. “The final Block Party was held in 2024, concluding an incredible run and leaving a lasting legacy in our community,” a statement on the event’s website reads. “We are deeply grateful for the fans, the artists, and the support shown for our beloved Basilica.” Started in 1995, the major fundraiser for the Basilica of St. Mary, the historic downtown Minneapolis church, drew a wide mix of local and national acts in its 30-year history.
