Stream Thinking Fact Versus Hearsay
5/1/2026
I'm not calling another person a storyteller or liar. I just have to research everything. It's the radio guy in me! It's not wrong to fact check. It's a sign of critical thinking. A personal responsibility. The majority of today's news channels are fed by a need to share an opinion. It's not fact. Don't see it as disrespect but rather locating balance.

True Blues Rock And More From Colin Burgeson His New Allbum Is Sunshine Into Shadow
4/30/2026
Colin Burgeson is a blues/rock guitarist, singer and songwriter from Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. His music blends soulful blues, catchy rock n’ roll guitar riffs and soaring melodic leads to create a sound that can be both relaxed and slow, and upbeat and energetic. In his guitar and vocal work, you’ll hear a sound influenced by the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Clapton, Eric Johnson, Gary Moore, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and much more!
Colin developed a love for music starting at a young age, primarily from watching his father, Eric Burgeson. Eric was a career musician who spent time in the late 80s touring with British rock band Foghat. He began taking guitar lessons from his father at age 9 and started writing songs and joined his first band by age 15. After his first band dissolved, he focused on his studies for a few years and briefly pursued a career in law enforcement.
But his passion for music never faded, and he continued to write music and hone his guitar skills until teaming up with longtime friend and bandmate Seamus Gleason, who would later perform drums on his debut solo album, to form heavy metal band Knight of Tears. The band would spend the next two years performing at various venues and festivals in the inland northwest, and released a self titled EP in 2016.
As Knight of Tears became inactive in the summer of 2016, an opportunity arose, and Colin successfully auditioned for and joined Spokane hard rock band Invasive. He would spend the next three years with Invasive, touring throughout Idaho, Washington and Oregon, opening for popular touring acts such as Quiet Riot, Steel Panther, Metal Church and more, and contributed guitar tracks to the singles “Sea of Black” and “Scars.” After vocalist Gary Cook left the band in 2019, the remaining members would reconvene to form hard rock/heavy metal band Psidium. Psidium would release the album “Blood in the Water” in 2021, which led to Colin’s initial partnership with Pavement Entertainment.
While he enjoyed writing and performing in the hard rock and heavy metal style he had been doing for the past several years, he eventually discovered that it was no longer his passion. After listening to records by Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Gary Moore, he decided to pursue a solo career in blues and blues-rock music, while also developing himself as a lead vocalist and frontman. During the recording of their second album in 2022, Psidium would become inactive, and he would go on to join classic rock cover band Laketown Sound and finish writing what would become his debut solo album. Psidium officially disbanded in 2023, and Colin shifted his focus to his solo career, completing the album in the fall of 2025.
Currently, Colin is performing at festivals and events in the Inland Northwest with Laketown Sound, while preparing to release his debut solo album, “From Sunshine Into Shadow,” with tour dates and performances to follow!

People Are Burned Out On Dating Chasing To Chosen From Kelsey Gaudrault
4/29/2026
53% of singles report dating burnout, and 32% have deleted the apps entirely, but the women most affected aren't passive or disengaged. They're the ones doing everything: initiating, overgiving, showing up, and still watching him pull away. Kelsey Gaudreault's debut book From Chasing to Chosen (launching April 25, 2026) challenges the premise of nearly every dating framework on the market. After coaching 700+ high-achieving women, Gaudreault argues that chasing isn't about who texts first. It's an unconscious wound rooted in the belief that love must be earned. Here are a few angles that may resonate with your readers:Overgiving is manipulation in disguise - because giving from a place of unworthiness ("if I do enough, will you love me?") is a transaction, not intimacy. This conversation is completely absent from mainstream dating advice. The "black cat" backlash - acting unbothered isn't empowerment, it's the same wound with a different name. Women who've traded overgiving for hyper-independence are still performing — just differently. Why he pulls away (and it has nothing to do with him) - the unconscious mirroring pattern that sends men running before a woman even knows she's doing it.

The Drama The Victory In Locating And More Antique The Novel From Seth Panitch
4/29/2026
For those of you who enjoyed the magic and heart of Remarkably Bright Creatures and the spellbinding undertones and fictionalized history of Last Call at the Savoy, you’ll absolutely love this tale of second-chances, family, and the overarching question we find ourselves asking: after everything is said and done, what am I worth in the end? Grace Schaffer's talent once landed her a coveted spot on Antiques Roadshow, where she charmed legions of viewers. But she’s recently fallen from her gilded perch, losing her career, her marriage, and her very identity in the process, leaving her with the same question her clients so often ask of her: What is it worth? Or, the question that beats beneath it, what am I worth?
In a last-ditch attempt to revive her career, she signs on to an amateur traveling show, where an old, tarnished necklace grants a strange and sudden confidence; she begins predicting the precise amount that objects will sell for at auction—prices that have more to do with the sentiment attached to the object than their market value. But the gift of divination comes with a price; Grace catches the attention of detractors and fans alike, all clamoring to see what she’ll do next.
Caught in the necklace’s strange and possibly dangerous thrall, Grace joins the hunt to uncover a lost masterpiece … before it disappears forever, taking her hopes and dreams with it. You don’t want to miss this glittering debut that marries the beauty of the past with a touch of the fantastic, offering an irresistible tale of second chances.
“Panitch’s first novel is a touching story about the value people place on the objects in their lives and on themselves; fans of Antiques Roadshow will especially enjoy.”

4/29/2026
At 82, while others are slowing down, R.W. Fields published his first book to prove the conversation about racism is far from over I am reaching out to see if you might be interested in featuring author RW Fields. I believe his story and his book would really resonate with your audience.“What growing up in the 1950s taught me about character and courage”RW Fields is an 82 years old author who proves that creativity, humor, and new adventures do not have an expiration date. His book Mullet Man is a heartfelt and humorous story that explores friendship, reinvention, and embracing who you are at every stage of life. It’s a story that reminds readers that getting older doesn’t mean life gets smaller — sometimes it gets more interesting, more meaningful, and even more fun.Mullet Man is a unique and heartfelt story that really emphasizes the friendship between two very different people — separated by both age and socioeconomic background. One is older, set in his ways and shaped by a very different era, while the other is younger and navigating a completely different world financially, socially, and culturally. What develops between them is an unexpected friendship that crosses generational and class lines, and it becomes a story about dignity, understanding, and how people from completely different walks of life can still profoundly impact each other.

Fleetwood Mac's Ten Men On Guitar From Music Historian Scott G Shea
4/28/2026
The rock group Fleetwood Mac is one of the most well-known and beloved in music history, but it certainly wasn’t that way when they started in 1967. Before finding international success with the addition of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks in 1975, they had numerous personnel changes at the guitarist position. In fact, before Lindsey, they changed guitarists five times in seven years, as they ran the gamut from hardcore British blues to contemporary rock to breezy L.A. soft pop. In his latest article for the Strange Brew, Scott G. Shea tells the story of this magnificent band’s development through its guitarists. He describes how they arrived at the band, what they contributed, and why they eventually broke down. If you’re interested in discussing the story of Fleetwood Mac, I hope you’ll consider inviting Scott G. Shea, a leading music historian and the author of the best-selling book “All the Leaves Are Brown: How the Mamas & the Papas Came Together and Broke Apart,” to your program. Scott can discuss what went wrong with the five guitarists who preceded Lindsey Buckingham and why Buckingham was able to make it work, at least for a little while.
